Backcasting methodology was used for creating the scenarios. The scenarios were mainly qualitative and described important factors generated in the scenario process. They zoomed in on mobility, everyday practices, work/social security and the built environment.
The scenario development was led by Åsa Svenfelt, KTH together with Ulrika Gunnarson-Östling, KTH and carried out in close collaboration with the whole research team, partners and other actors in order to increase legitimacy and relevance of the scenarios. The illustration of the scenarios was based on experiences from the SPREAD scenario project of sustainable lifestyles, e.g illustrating parts of the scenarios with films.
